The Social Inclusion and Vocational College team supports young people who may have experienced barriers to mainstream education to reconnect with learning and build meaningful pathways for their future. Through flexible, practical and inclusive programs, the team helps students strengthen their confidence, foundation skills, work readiness and personal development while working towards further education, training or employment.
As a Teacher within Social Inclusion and Vocational College, you will have the opportunity to make a genuine difference in the lives of young people by creating engaging, supportive and practical learning experiences.
You will work with diverse learners, using flexible and contextualised teaching approaches to build skills, confidence and independence. The role involves delivering and assessing quality education programs, developing contemporary learning resources, supporting individual student progress and working collaboratively with colleagues, community partners and industry.
This is an ideal opportunity for a teacher who is passionate about inclusive education, enjoys working with young people and wants to help students overcome barriers and take positive next steps into study, training or employment.
To be successful, you’ll have:

An approved degree, diploma or certificate in a relevant vocational area, or approved equivalent qualifications, at least to the level being delivered and assessed; and

Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE 40122 or TAE40116 or TAE40110) or its successor; or
-
An approved diploma or higher-level qualification in adult education or vocational education and training; or
-
A secondary teaching qualification and one of the following credentials:
- TAESS00011 Assessor Skill Set, or
- TAESS00019 Assessor Skill Set or its successor, or
- TAESS00024 VET Delivered to School Students Teacher Enhancement Skill Set or its successor.

WWCC and Police Check:
Appointment to this position is dependent on obtaining a Victorian ‘employee’ Working with Children Check, and a valid Police Check within the last 12 months.
