You will assist in effectively serving our patient, doctor, and staff meals with particular attention to patient dietary needs & assist with function catering at a consistently high standard and within HACCP guidelines.

As a Food Service Assistant your responsibilities will include:
- Assist in daily food preparation and basic meal assembly
- Deliver, serve and collect all patient food requirements and meal trays
- Assist in general cleaning of kitchen equipment and utensils including dish and pot washing as required.
- Act as a valued member of an interdisciplinary team by promoting a professional and positive team culture.
- Provide high standard of customer service
- Operate in line with WHS policy & procedures
- Deliver excellent customer service to staff, clients and patients
- Have demonstrated ongoing commitment to professional development
Essential Criteria:
- 2 years’ experience in a similar role within a Hospital or Aged care environment
- Completed Basic Food Handling Training (or working towards)
- Certificate III in Hospitality (or working towards)
- Authority to Work in Australia
- Hold a valid NSW Working with Children check for Employment (‘E’[)
- Knowledge of food safety and hygiene requirements
- Excellent time management skills
- Commitment to service excellence
- Strong communication and customer skills
- Attention to detail
- Work well independently and within a team
- Available for a variety of shifts & on call shifts
