The Meadows Public School, established in 1890 and located in the suburb of Seven Hills, is part of the Bungarribee Principals Network in Western Sydney. The school has an enrolment of approximately 340 students, including 11% Aboriginal students and 69% of students from a Language Background other than English.
The school continues to work in partnership with its Schools as Community Centre (SaCC) to support early childhood learners and their families and serves as the base school for the Itinerant Support (Hearing) Team, providing specialist support to students and schools across the network.
Our teaching staff includes both experienced and early career teachers who share a strong commitment to evidence-informed teaching, with a focus on literacy, numeracy, and student engagement. Analysis of school data and evidence highlights ongoing priorities in reading, numeracy, attendance, wellbeing, and teacher collaboration. These priorities guide professional learning and classroom practice to ensure consistent, high-quality teaching and improved student outcomes.

Approval to teach K-6 and approval to teach primary library or currently undertaking or currently enrolled in Teacher Librarian qualifications approved by the NSW Department of Education, with the ability to develop and deliver high-quality release from face-to-face programs.
Demonstrated capacity to implement proactive management practices that maintain high standards of behaviour and promote a positive, inclusive, and productive learning environment in the library.
Demonstrated ability to engage students in critical and creative thinking, digital literacy, current curriculum and love of literature.
Strong interpersonal and collaborative skills with the ability to build effective relationships across the school.
An unconditional full approval to teach is a requirement. If you do not hold a full approval to teach with the NSW Department of Education, you are required to commence the application process at the same time as you apply for this teaching opportunity.
This is a permanent part-time position of 4 days per week, 0.8FTE(full time equivalent).
