About the Role
Inline Smiles Dental & Orthodontics is looking for a dedicated Dental Assistant with orthodontic and front desk experience to join our team. This role suits someone who is skilled chairside and equally confident managing reception and patient care, moving comfortably between assisting in the surgery and running the front desk. The position starts as a casual role for two days per week, Wednesday and Thursday, from 9:00 AM to 7:00 PM, with the possibility to move to part-time and increased hours after a successful three-month trial.
Key Duties
- Provide chairside assistance to the dentist and orthodontist during a range of dental and orthodontic procedures.
- Assist with orthodontic treatments, including the fitting, adjustment, and monitoring of braces, aligners, and appliances.
- Prepare and maintain treatment rooms, instruments, and equipment in line with infection control standards.
- Manage front desk and reception duties, including greeting patients, answering phone and email enquiries, and scheduling appointments.
- Maintain accurate patient records and process bookings using Principle practice management software.
- Support patients with treatment information and help them feel comfortable and well cared for throughout their visit.

- Dental experience: A strong foundation in dental procedures, chairside assisting, and patient care.
- Front desk and reception skills: Experience managing reception, scheduling appointments, handling enquiries, and providing excellent front-of-house patient service.
- A positive, can-do attitude: Someone who is eager to learn, works well within a team, and is happy to lend a helping hand.
- Strong communication skills: The ability to build genuine relationships with patients and clearly explain our services.
- Software skills: Experience with Principle practice management software, or the willingness to learn it quickly.
