The Opportunity
Exciting Career Opportunity: Product Support Specialist at Insitu Pacific!
The Product Support Specialist provides technical and analytical support to sustain Insitu Pacific's Uncrewed Aerial Systems (UAS) and related products. The role focuses on developing and maintaining the Logistics Support Analysis Record (LSAR), supporting maintenance instruction updates, assist with codification activities, and integrating technical data within maintenance management systems. Central to the technical workflow, this position ensures the effective, compliant, and reliable delivery of product support solutions in Defence and aerospace environments.
Accountabilities
- LSAR Development & Maintenance: Build, update, and assist with the management of LSAR and related support documentation to accurately reflect product configurations, engineering changes, modifications, and obsolescence
- Maintenance Documentation Support: Develop, update, and modify maintenance instructions and related technical documentation based on engineering changes, customer requirements, and outcomes of maintenance investigations. Prepare and provide required information to support customer Maintenance Management System processes (e.g., CAMM2)
- Codification: Support Defence codification services, including adoption of new items of supply, delivery of compliant technical data, and coordination of all required documentation.
- Technical Information Workflow: Support intake, triage, and actioning of technical queries and tasks, acting as a key facilitator between engineering, support, and customer teams.
- Continuous Improvement: Contribute to ongoing development of product support analysis processes, documentation standards, and support tools.
- Other LSA Functions: Support additional Logistics Support Analysis activities as required (e.g., Failure Mode and Effects Analysis, Life Cycle Cost Modelling, Spares Assessment, Level of Repair Analysis, and Maintenance Task Analysis).
Experience/Qualifications
Essential
- Certificate III or IV in a discipline relating to product support (or equivalent) and typically 4 or more years relevant work experience, or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience.
- Proven experience in developing and maintaining LSARs or equivalent technical support documentation.
- Experience in updating, modifying, or implementing maintenance instructions or technical content.
- Familiarity with Maintenance Management Systems (e.g., CAMM2) and associated data submission processes.
- Strong capability in managing technical information workflows, including query triage and task coordination.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently with high accuracy, manage competing priorities, and adapt to dynamic technical requirements.
Desirable
- Broad experience in additional LSA (Logistics Support Analysis) functions, such FMECA, Life Cycle Cost modelling, Spares Assessment, Level of Repair Analysis, and Maintenance Task Analysis
- Experience supporting Defence codification services and knowledge of Commonwealth of Australia codification and item identification requirements, such as managing technical data for new items of supply.
- Experience in avionics, UAS, or Defence aerospace platforms.
- Understanding of configuration management, technical data/information management, and Defence supportability concepts.
- Experience engaging with Defence customers and external stakeholders.
Eligibility
- Applicants must be Australian Citizens to meet defence security requirements
- Able to obtain an Australian Defence Security Clearance
