Disability Support Worker – Day Program & School Holiday Program - Werribee, Victoria 3030
Nhanya Foundation is growing, and we are looking for energetic, compassionate and reliable Disability Support Workers to join our Day Program and School Holiday Program team.
Location: Werribee & Western Suburbs, Melbourne VIC
Employment Type: Casual
Shift Schedule: Day shifts between 8am to 7pm

Your day could include community outings, sports, cooking classes, arts and crafts, music activities, life-skills programs, excursions and school holiday adventures while supporting participants to build confidence, friendships and independence.

About the Role
As a Disability Support Worker, you will:
· Support participants in our Day Program and School Holiday Program
· Assist with community access, excursions and group activities
· Encourage social inclusion, skill development and independence
· Support personal care and medication assistance where required
· Complete progress notes and documentation
· Work collaboratively within a supportive team environment

About You
You are:
· Positive, reliable and proactive
· Passionate about supporting people with disability
· A strong team player with excellent communication skills
· Comfortable supporting participants with varying support needs
· Available to work during school holiday periods
Essential Requirements
· Minimum 1 year experience in Disability Support, Aged Care, Community Services or Nursing
· Certificate III, IV or Diploma in Disability, Individual Support, Community Services, Aged Care, Nursing or equivalent
· NDIS Worker Screening Check
· Working With Children Check (Employee)
· Current First Aid & CPR Certificate
· Current Australian Driver's Licence and access to a reliable vehicle with comprehensive insurance
· Full Australian Working Rights
Highly Regarded:
· Experience supporting participants with complex needs
· Medication Administration experience
· Manual Handling experience
· Behaviour Support experience
· Experience facilitating group activities and community programs
