Chantel Learning Childcare Centre is a long day care service which offers care for children aged between 6 weeks to 6 years. Our service strives to provide children with the foundation of early learning and the skills needed to flourish and grow.
Our Service operates from 7:30am to 6:00pm Monday to Friday.
We are looking for school leavers who are interested in studying early childhood and are looking for a work/study lifestyle.
The position would involve working at our centre full time, while studying for your certificate III in Children's Services and get paid. As this is a traineeship, you will have access to some study hours within your roster. Your role would be to work with children between the ages of infants to 6 years old- supporting their learning and development.
You will learn about and experience all facets of working
with young children in a long day care setting, and will gain great knowledge
and insight from being part of our team. As one of our Educators, you would
need to work effectively with our team to ensure the smooth operation of the
centre and contribute to high-quality practices for children, staff, and
families.
All applicants must be 18 years or over and have applied for the Working with Children Check. Please only apply if you are an Australian resident/citizen.
Your role will be:
*To assist in the caring of the children and meeting of their needs / A genuine passion for making a positive difference in the lives of young children and their families
*Working with the children, you will be responsible for all aspects of their care and education - from supervision, facilitating group times, to guiding & documenting their development
*You must be friendly, energetic, hard working & reliable
*You need to work as a part of a team - communicating clearly and working cooperatively
*You also need to be able to quickly form relationships with the children and their families and time-management skills
*Work alongside a team of experienced staff to manage the room cleanliness and hygiene
*Contribute ideas to the planning and implementing of the daily curriculum
*Learn how to respond to children's cues.
*Follow services policies and procedures.
*Participate in Staff Meetings.
*Ability to use Microsoft Word / Apps.
*Quick Learner.
*Effective Communication Skills.
