What you’ll be doing:
In this role you will drive the delivery of a new enterprise platform, ensuring it is implemented on time, within scope, and to the highest quality. As a strategic partner, this is a hands-on role ensuring cross-functional coordination.
This is a unique opportunity for a commercially minded procurement professional who enjoys building capability, influencing stakeholders, and improving supplier performance. Initially, your focus will be on implementing and embedding Zurich's Third-Party Management Framework and controls across the business. Once established, you will manage and optimise a broad portfolio of vendors across Australia and New Zealand, spanning professional services, outsourcing, corporate services, marketing services, facilities and other indirect procurement categories.
This role will suit a self-starter who thrives in a collaborative environment and enjoys shaping processes in a growing procurement function.
- Partner with stakeholders to understand short, medium and long-term procurement needs and provide advice.
- Implement and maintain third-party risk and supplier management controls.
- Manage strategic supplier relationships across key categories including professional services, outsourcing and marketing services.
- Lead market approaches and supplier selection activities, including contract renewals and lifecycle activities to ensure value and compliance.
What skills and experience you’ll bring on this journey:
12+ years' procurement experience within a commercial environment (banking, finance or insurance highly regarded).
Degree in Business, Economics, Finance, Law or a related discipline.
CIPS qualifications or training (highly regarded).
Strong category management experience within indirect procurement categories such as outsourcing, professional services, corporate services or marketing services.
Proven supplier and contract management experience with the ability to influence senior stakeholders and drive outcomes.
Strong analytical and reporting capabilities with advanced skills in Microsoft Office and excel.
Excellent communication, negotiation and relationship-building skills.
