THE OPPORTUNITY
Join our team as a Technician / Experienced Operator working across the South East Water (SEW) network based in Dandenong South, VIC .
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced operator to play a key role in maintaining and repairing critical water and wastewater infrastructure across the network. Working within a dedicated field operations team, you'll be responsible for delivering reactive and planned maintenance activities while ensuring a high standard of safety, quality and customer service.
Operating within a 24/7 maintenance contract, you'll work across a rotating roster including day shift, afternoon shift and participation in an on-call roster to support emergency response activities.
No two days are the same. From responding to water main bursts and network faults to operating specialised equipment and undertaking maintenance works, you'll be at the forefront of delivering essential services to the community.
This role requires flexibility to participate in rotating shifts and an on-call roster to support emergency response and after-hours maintenance activities.
ABOUT YOU
- Site Proficient: Experience in civil excavation or water/wastewater reticulation work. Comfortable communicating with customers or the public when needed. Willing to participate in an after‑hours roster.
- Team Oriented: You work well with others, communicate clearly, and always put safety first.
- Site Qualifications :
- Driver Licence and/or MR Tuck Licence
- Spotters Ticket
- White Card
- Working with Children Card
- Excavator / Backhoe Licence
- Pre‑Employment Checks: Full working rights in Australia, ability to complete a medical, and meet licence and Working With Children Check requirements.
