parks Social Abilities is a rapidly growing NDIS provider delivering innovative group programs, community access, after-school supports and adult development programs throughout Cairns.

This role is highly community-based, with every day being different.
About the Role
You will support children, teenagers and adults living with disability through:
- Community access and social outings
- After-school and school holiday programs
- Adult personal development programs
- Life skills and capacity building
- Transport to and from activities
- Building confidence, independence and social skills
- Working both independently and as part of a team
No two days are the same. One day you might be helping someone prepare a meal, the next you could be facilitating a community outing, bowling, volunteering, attending sporting activities or supporting a social skills group.

- Physically active and happy being out in the community
- Comfortable supporting participants with varying support needs
- Able to think outside the box and problem solve
Experience with Autism, ADHD, Intellectual Disability, Psychosocial Disability or high support needs is highly regarded but not essential.
Essential Requirements
- Current Australian Driver Licence
- Reliable vehicle
- NDIS Worker Screening Clearance (or ability to obtain)
- Blue Card (Working with Children Check)
- Current First Aid & CPR
- National Police Check
- Smartphone
- Full Australian working rights
Desirable
- Certificate III or IV in Individual Support, Disability, Community Services or similar
- Experience delivering NDIS supports
- Mental Health First Aid
- Behaviour support experience
- Medication competency
- Manual handling experience
