The Waves Sports Club is seeking an enthusiastic and reliable Coffee Shop Cook / Chef to join our busy hospitality team. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced cook / chef who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in delivering quality food and exceptional customer service.
About the Role
As a Coffee Shop Cook / Chef, you will be responsible for preparing and presenting a variety of café-style meals, light snacks while maintaining high food safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
· Preparation and service of café and coffee shop menu items
· Ensuring food is prepared and presented to a high standard
· Maintaining a clean and organised kitchen environment
· Monitoring stock levels and assisting with ordering
· Following food safety, hygiene, and workplace health and safety procedures
· Working effectively within a team to provide excellent customer service
Essential Requirements:
· Previous experience working in a commercial kitchen
· Sound knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices
· Ability to work efficiently during busy service periods
· Strong communication and teamwork skills
· Reliable with a positive attitude and strong work ethic
· Have strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
· Availability to work a flexible roster, including days, evenings, weekends, and public holidays
