Lead the management of one of Queensland's key rail infrastructure assets in our Brisbane Airport Rail Link Contract (BARL).
A new opportunity for an Asset Manager (Electrical & Rail Infrastructure) or Senior Maintenance Manager with a current Queensland Electrical Licence to join our contract. This leadership role combines asset stewardship, electrical compliance, maintenance delivery, and strategic lifecycle planning across a critical rail network servicing Brisbane Airport.
The position is ideal for an electrical professional with experience in rail, transport, utilities, infrastructure, or other regulated asset environments who is looking to take ownership of a high profile asset portfolio.

About the Role
Reporting to the Contract Manager, you will be responsible for the safe, reliable and cost-effective management of rail infrastructure assets across the Brisbane Airport Rail Link network.
You will lead a team of five and oversee the maintenance, renewal and improvement of:

Rail track infrastructure
-
Signalling systems
-
Electrical assets
-
Stations and associated infrastructure
-
Structures and supporting assets
-
Key responsibilities include:
-
Developing long-term asset management and renewal strategies
-
Leading lifecycle planning, condition assessments and asset investment decisions
-
Ensuring maintenance activities are completed safely, efficiently and in compliance with regulatory requirements

Acting as the Qualified Technical Person (QTP) for electrical and signalling works
-
Managing asset performance, defect management and corrective actions
-
Overseeing asset budgets, forecasting and reporting
-
Maintaining asset registers and infrastructure data systems
-
Supporting safety, compliance and audit requirements
-
Leading, mentoring and developing maintenance personnel
-
Engaging with key stakeholders including regulators, contractors and clients
About You
You may come from rail, transport, utilities, mining, power distribution, airports or other infrastructure environment and possess:
Essential to be considered:

Current Queensland Electrical Work Licence

Construction White Card
-
Ability to satisfy Rail Category 2 Medical requirements

Ability to obtain a National Police Check

Experience managing maintenance or infrastructure assets

Strong understanding of electrical systems and compliance requirements

Experience leading maintenance teams and contractors

Asset management, reliability or lifecycle planning experience

Strong commercial, analytical and problem-solving skills

Excellent stakeholder engagement and leadership capabilities
Desirable

Engineering, Asset Management or related tertiary qualifications

Rail industry experience
-
Knowledge of Rail Safety National Law and ONRSR requirements

Signalling or systems maintenance experience
