Commercial Administrator – Finance, Purchasing & Inventory

Reitsema Packaging is an established, family-owned Australian packaging supplier. We are seeking a proactive and organised Commercial Administrator to join our WA team.
This is a varied role covering accounts, purchasing, inventory and commercial administration. We are looking for someone who will take ownership of their responsibilities, proactively follow up outstanding matters and keep the day-to-day administration of the business running smoothly.
Key Responsibilities
- Accounts payable and creditor management
- Daily banking and account reconciliations
- Processing supplier invoices and payments
- Managing foreign currency creditors and shipment invoices
- Monitoring outstanding purchase orders and following up suppliers
- Maintaining supplier ETAs and escalating supply delays
- Coordinating incoming overseas shipments and import documentation
- Processing stock arrivals, adjustments and transfers in JIWA
- Stock reconciliations and stocktake support
- Monitoring customer-specific stock requirements
- Liaising with Sales Representatives regarding customer-specific stock reordering
- Financial reporting and general ledger support
- New customer credit applications
- Timesheet and staff clocking administration
- General commercial and office administration
- Supporting company quality and ISO processes
What We're Looking For
- Accounting, bookkeeping or commercial administration experience
- Strong attention to detail and data accuracy
- Good Excel and computer skills
- Experience using accounting or ERP software
- Strong organisational and follow-up skills
- Confident communication with suppliers and internal staff
- Ability to work autonomously and manage priorities
- A practical, proactive approach to solving problems
Experience with JIWA Financials, inventory, importing or foreign currency accounts would be advantageous but is not essential.
About the Opportunity
This is not a narrow accounts role. You will work across finance, purchasing, imports and inventory and become an important part of our WA operations.
We are particularly interested in someone who enjoys taking responsibility for an area, keeping on top of outstanding tasks and following things through to completion.
The position is full time and based at our Maddington office.
