THE ROLE
August Start | 6 Month Contract
At JD Sports, we’re continuing to build out a high-performing Merchandise function and we’re looking for a commercially minded, highly organised Admin Assistant to join on a 6-month fixed term contract supporting the Merchandise department.
The Opportunity
This is a great opportunity to step into a fast-paced retail head office environment, supporting the Merchandise team to ensure smooth stock flow, strong data integrity, and operational excellence. You’ll play a key role in keeping the engine room of the business running.
Key Responsibilities
Create and maintain accurate product data, style codes, and pricing
Raise and manage purchase orders, including bulk uploads and tracking deliveries
Allocate stock to stores and support launch execution timelines
Monitor and follow up on inbound deliveries and supplier updates
Support stock flow movements from distribution centre to stores and maintain cancellation trackers
Manage and support issues, resolving queries efficiently
Assist with producing weekly reports and highlight risks or gaps proactively
Partner and work closely with Buying, Marketing and Retail teams
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
Strong Excel skills (essential) – confident working with data and formulas
Highly organised with strong attention to detail
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-volume retail environment
Proactive mindset, you are able to identify risks and problem-solve quickly
Previous retail experience (store or head office) is highly regarded
