Northern Interests is a national organisation operating multiple remote roadhouses across South Australia and the Northern Territory. With around 130 team members, many living on-site in our staff accommodation, we provide essential services to travellers and locals alike, including fuel, hotel accommodation, camping and caravan facilities, a restaurant, bar, and café.
We are currently seeking motivated and adaptable hospitality professionals to join our teams at Spuds Roadhouse and Marla Travellers Rest in SA.
This is an all-rounder role, where you will be required to perform a combination of housekeeping, food and beverage, and customer service duties, including but not limited to:
Housekeeping
- Servicing guest rooms (replacing amenities, refreshing linen, making beds, etc.)
- Cleaning bathrooms, floors, and all surfaces
- Washing and restocking linen and towels
- Reporting maintenance or safety issues promptly
Bartending
- Preparing and serving beverages while ensuring responsible alcohol service Maintaining cleanliness and organisation of the bar area
- Handling cash and POS transactions accurately
- Restocking supplies and delivering friendly, efficient customer service
Barista
- Providing a high level of customer service/taking food and drink orders
- Preparing and serving quality coffee and specialty drinks to order
- Operating and maintaining coffee machines and café equipment
- Keeping the workspace clean, stocked, and well presented
- Assisting with light food preparation
To be successful, you will have one of the following:
- A relevant qualification equivalent to an AQF Certificate II; or
- At least one year of full-time (or equivalent) work experience.
