Customer Experience | Fixed Term Part-time (50 hours per fortnight)
The Opportunity

Brightwater is seeking a compassionate and motivated Customer Service Officer to join our Customer Service Contact Centre team on a Fixed Term Part-time basis, working 50 hours per fortnight from Aug 2026 to Feb 2027 . As the first point of contact for customers, families, referrers and community stakeholders, you'll play a vital role in creating positive experiences and helping people access the support they need.
About the Role
As a Customer Service Officer, you will manage enquiries across multiple channels including phone, email and web-based platforms. You'll provide professional, empathetic support while guiding customers through their enquiry journey and connecting them with the most appropriate Brightwater services.
This is a fast-paced role where your communication skills, attention to detail and commitment to service excellence will shine.

Your key responsibilities will include:
- Responding to customer enquiries via telephone, email and online channels
- Providing accurate, timely and compassionate information about Brightwater services
- Assessing enquiries and coordinating referrals to the appropriate Engagement Coordinator
- Maintaining accurate customer records across multiple systems
- Handling concerns and objections professionally and effectively
- Supporting a high-performing contact centre environment focused on customer outcomes
- Collaborating with internal teams to ensure seamless customer experiences
- Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives within the team
- Providing reception coverage as required
About You
To succeed in this role, you'll have:
- Exceptional customer service and communication skills
- Previous experience in a contact centre, customer service, sales support or similar environment
- A professional, empathetic and solutions-focused approach
- Strong data entry and administrative skills with excellent attention to detail
- The ability to manage competing priorities in a high-volume environment
- Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office skills
- Confidence using multiple technology platforms and databases
- Strong organisational and problem-solving abilities
- A genuine interest in aged care, disability services, community care or the health sector
Experience within aged care, disability services or healthcare will be highly regarded but is not essential.
You will also need:
- A satisfactory National Police Clearance obtained in the last 12 months
- A current NDIS Workers Screening Check or willingness to obtain
- A valid driver’s licence as defined by the Department of Trasport WA (DoTWA)
