Salary - $80,000 - $90,000 plus superannuation per annum

THE ROLE:
We are seeking an experienced and analytical ICT Business Analyst to work closely with clients, users, developers and other stakeholders to identify business requirements and develop effective ICT solutions.
The successful candidate will analyse existing business processes and systems, identify opportunities for improvement and translate business requirements into clear functional and technical specifications to support system development and implementation.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
· Consult with users, clients and stakeholders to identify, analyse and document business and system requirements.
· Analyse existing business processes, procedures and work practices to identify inefficiencies and opportunities for improvement.
· Translate business requirements into detailed functional specifications, process models and system requirements for development teams.
· Evaluate existing ICT systems and recommend improvements to system functionality, processes and business performance.
· Work collaboratively with software developers and technical teams throughout system design, development, testing and implementation.
· Develop process maps, workflows, use cases and other documentation to clearly communicate business and system requirements.
· Assist with system testing, use acceptance testing and implementation, ensuring solutions meet agreed business requirements.
· Analyse business and system data to identify trends, issues and opportunities and support informed decision-making.
· Prepare reports, dashboards and other analytical information using relevant data analysis and visualisation tools.
· Identify system and process issues and work with relevant stakeholders to develop practical and effective solutions.
· Maintain accurate project and system documentation and act as a key reference point for business and technical information.
· Provide guidance, documentation and training to users to support the successful adoption of new or improved systems.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
· A relevant bachelor’s degree or higher qualification in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Information Systems or a related discipline, or agreed equivalent.
· At minimum of 1 year of relevant professional experience as an ICT Business Analyst or in a comparable ICT business analysis role.
· Demonstrated experience gathering, analysing and documenting business and system requirements.
· Strong understanding of business process analysis, process improvement and system. Development principles.
· Experience preparing functional specifications, workflows, process documentation and other business analysis documentation.
· Experience working with technical and development teams throughout the system development and implementation lifecycle.
· Knowledge of project delivery methodologies such as Agile, Scrum or Waterfall.
· Familiarity with relevant tools such as JIRA, Confluence, Power BI, Tableau, Excel and SQL would be advantageous.
· Experience with programming or data analysis languages such as Python or R would also be advantageous.
· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate complex business requirements into practical ICT solutions.
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
· Strong organisational skills and attention to detail with the ability to manage competing priorities.
· You must have unrestricted working rights to work full time in Australia to be eligible for consideration.
