We are a leading engineering company specialising in civil and structural engineering projects across Western Australia. Our work spans roadworks, drainage, earthworks, utility upgrades, retaining structures, and various public and private infrastructure projects. Due to continued growth, we are seeking a qualified Civil Engineer to support our engineering team in delivering high-quality technical solutions.
About the Role
This is a full-time position providing civil engineering support across our civil and structural projects. The successful candidate will assist with analysis, design development, reporting, and site-based inspections. You will play a key role in supporting the structural components of our civil works, including retaining structures, pavements, culverts, foundations, and concrete and steel elements used in subdivision and infrastructure construction.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist structural and civil engineers with modelling, analysis, and technical assessments for civil infrastructure works.
- Perform structural analysis and calculations for foundations, retaining walls, culverts, concrete elements, steel components, and load-bearing structures.
- Prepare technical reports, engineering drawings, schedules, and project documentation.
- Review civil and structural plans, specifications, and construction data to ensure compliance with Australian Standards.
- Support the development and optimisation of civil and structural design solutions.
- Conduct site inspections to assess workmanship, materials, and compliance with design and quality requirements.
- Identify non-conformances and propose corrective actions.
- Assist with project coordination by liaising with engineers, surveyors, contractors, and project managers.
- Support R&D activities, testing, and investigations to improve engineering processes and project outcomes.
Skills & Experience
- Degree in Engineering, Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience or strong understanding of civil and structural engineering processes.
- Knowledge of structural design principles used in civil works (e.g., concrete, steel, foundations, retaining systems).
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings, civil plans, and technical specifications.
- Experience using CAD, modelling, or analysis software (advantageous).
- Strong communication, reporting, and documentation skills.
- Problem-solving ability and a proactive approach to engineering challenges.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a project team.
Pay: $150,000.00 – $170,000.00 per year
