We are looking for a reliable and hardworking Kitchen Hand to join our team at a busy Indian restaurant.
Duties include:
- Assisting chefs with basic food preparation and kitchen tasks
- Washing dishes, utensils, pots and pans
- Keeping the kitchen, preparation areas and equipment clean and organised
- Assisting with receiving, unpacking and storing deliveries
- Preparing vegetables, ingredients and other food items as directed
- Maintaining high standards of food hygiene and workplace cleanliness
- Taking out rubbish and keeping waste areas clean
- Following food safety, cleaning and workplace health and safety procedures
- Supporting chefs and other kitchen staff during busy service periods
- Completing general kitchen cleaning and other duties as required
About you:
- Reliable, punctual and hardworking
- Able to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment
- Good teamwork and communication skills
- Previous kitchen or hospitality experience is preferred but not essential
- Availability to work evenings, weekends and public holidays
Pay: $60,000.00 – $65,000.00 per year
