About the role
This is a fixed term position until 30 June 2027 – Location is flexible
Reporting to the Insurance Coordinator, you will lead the compilation and management of property insurance and Disaster Recovery Funding Arrangements (DRFA) claims arising from natural disasters impacting Victoria’s arterial road network, including the October 2022 floods and subsequent events.
You will drive consistent and effective claims processes across Transport Services, ensuring compliance with government and departmental requirements. As a key team lead, you will provide guidance, mentoring and capability development, supporting knowledge sharing and building a high-performing claims function.
Working collaboratively with the Insurance Coordinator and key stakeholders, you will identify opportunities to improve processes, strengthen engagement and enhance claim outcomes. This role provides an opportunity to contribute to an important risk and compliance function supporting Victoria’s road network and disaster recovery efforts.

Qualifications and experience
You’ll bring: Experience in large value insurance claims and the insurance industry would be highly regarded.
Other position-specific requirements
- May involve occasional overnight travel
