We’re looking for an Assistant Fund Manager to join our Retail and Listed Real Estate team, supporting the management and growth of a defensive retail portfolio focused on neighbourhood and convenience-based shopping centres. You'll work on financial modelling & analysis, portfolio & fund management, plus research & strategy.

What we are looking for:
- Experience in Australian commercial real estate, ideally across institutional or retail property portfolios.
- Strong attention to detail with experience in financial modelling.
- Strong work ethic and drive to assist with growth aspirations of the fund.
- Ability to work across multiple work streams liaising with key external and internal stakeholders to drive outperformance.
- Ideally based in Sydney; Brisbane or Melbourne may be considered.
- Ability to travel interstate for asset inspections and stakeholder meetings.
Key accountabilities:
Financial Modelling & Analysis
- Maintain and enhance detailed asset and fund-level financial models, including cashflow projections, scenario analysis, leasing assumptions, capital expenditure planning, and performance forecasting.
- Conduct detailed acquisition and feasibility modelling, supporting investment underwriting and transaction execution.
Portfolio & Fund Management
- Assist in monitoring and reporting fund-level performance through analysis of financial metrics, capital structure, debt facilities and hedging strategies.
- Support buy/sell decision-making through robust financial analysis and strategic recommendations.
- Contribute to the preparation of annual strategic plans, asset-level business plans, budgets, and operational benchmarks.
- Support leasing, asset repositioning, and capital deployment strategies aligned with neighbourhood and convenience retail fundamentals.
- Work collaboratively with internal and external Asset and Property Management teams to deliver high-quality forecasting, variance analysis, and actionable performance insights.
- Support acquisitions, due diligence and investment analysis for potential transactions.
Research & Strategy
- Conduct market research to underpin feasibility assessments, valuations, acquisitions, and broader fund strategy, including sector-specific trends and capital markets insights.
- Contribute to the preparation of high-quality investment materials, including Investment Committee papers, Board reports, and ASX-related documentation.
- Assist with capital raising initiatives through preparation of investor materials, management of data rooms, and coordination of RFI responses.
