We are seeking enthusiastic and skilled Bartender/ Waiters to join our team at BISTRO 265 Abbotsford, VIC. This position offers the perfect opportunity to become part of a dynamic hospitality environment. You will be at the heart of our guests' experience, crafting beverages, providing exceptional service, and creating memorable moments in our bar and dining area. This role is essential to maintaining the high standards and welcoming atmosphere that our establishment is known for.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages with precision and flair, including cocktails, wines, beers, and spirits
- Provide knowledgeable and friendly service to guests, including recommendations on drinks pairings and menu selections
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the bar area, including glasses, bottles, equipment, and work surfaces
- Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system accurately and process payments securely
- Stock and replenish bar supplies, ensuring all items are readily available during service
- Check identification to verify the legal drinking age of customers
- Follow health, safety, and licensing regulations, including responsible beverage service practices
- Work effectively as part of a team to ensure smooth service during busy periods
- Maintain high standards of personal presentation and professionalism at all times
What we're looking for
- Current responsible service of alcohol (RSA) certification or equivalent qualification must be held before starting work
- Proven experience working as a Cocktail Bartender in a hospitality setting
- Minimum of 2+ years bartending experience in a professional hospitality environment
- Strong knowledge of cocktails, spirits, wines and beers, including mixing techniques and presentation
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage customers and create a positive atmosphere
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure during busy periods, maintaining accuracy and quality
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness and organisation
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and public holidays as required
- Professional attitude, reliability and a genuine passion for hospitality
- Knowledge of local licensing laws and responsible alcohol service practices
- Work effectively as part of a team to ensure smooth service during busy periods
- Must have current Australian work authorisation at the time of application
