We design, supply and install structures for industrial, commercial, events, warehousing, education, sport and government clients, and recently entering into the car showroom and dealership spaces.
Due to continued growth, we are seeking an experienced, hands-on Operations Project Assistant to join our in-office team and oversee projects from initial enquiry through to handover.
About the Role:
Reporting to the Operations I General Manager, this in-office Operations Project Assistant role is responsible for planning, coordinating and delivering multiple temporary structure projects on time, within budget and to ATS quality and safety standards with direct contact to clients and suppliers.
This role is predominantly office-based at our Braemar's head office with flexible working opportunities, with occasional site visits as required for scoping, client meetings and project milestones.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing projects from inception through to completion and handover;
- Developing project scopes, timelines, budgets and resource plans;
- Coordinating internal teams {design, engineering, logistics, installation) and external contractors;
- Preparing and managing project documentation, including programs, risk assessments, SWMS and site-specific documentation;
- Liaising with clients, suppliers, councils and other stakeholders;
- Monitoring project progress, managing variations and reporting on time, cost and quality;
- Ensuring compliance with WHS requirements, site rules and ATS policies;
- Identifying and mitigating project risks and resolving issues promptly; and
- Contributing to process improvement and standardisation across projects;
Tender & Bidding Knowledge (Highly Regarded):
- Experience in tendering and bidding will be considered a strong advantage, including:
- Reviewing and interpreting tender documentation, specifications and scopes of work;
- Assisting with the preparation of tender submissions and proposals;
- Contributing to pricing, methodology statements and project programs for bids;
- Coordinating input from internal stakeholders to meet tender deadlines; and
- Ensuring bid compliance with client, council and regulatory requirements.
About You:
To be successful in this role, you will have:
Essential:
- 3+ years' experience in assisting Projects in (construction, temporary structures, events, industrial or related sector);
- Strong planning, scheduling and coordination skills across multiple concurrent projects;
- Demonstrated experience managing budgets, timelines and subcontractors;
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills;
- High level of attention to detail and strong documentation skills;
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook and MS Projects), and basic project management tools;
- Ability to read and interpret drawings, plans and technical information;
- Solid understanding of WHS principles and safe work practices; and
- Full Australian working rights, white card and current driver's licence.
Desirable:
- Experience in temporary structures, modular buildings, marquee/clearspan structures or similar;
- Qualifications in Construction Management, Project Management, Engineering or related discipline;
- Experience working with councils and permit/approval processes;
- Exposure to CRM (Monday.com) or job management systems; and
- Prior involvement in tendering, bidding or estimating processes

Pay: $80,000.00 – $90,000.00 per year
