About the Opportunity
As the Senior Director, Digital Service Transformation, you will be the strategic bridge between business and technology, connecting business areas that understand the outcomes they want with the digital, AI and process solutions that bring those outcomes to life.
This is not an IT leadership role. It is a business transformation leadership role responsible for translating business strategy into digital products, service improvements, AI-enabled automation and enterprise-wide transformation initiatives to efficiently improve the end to end student experience.
Working across Student Experience, IT, Academic, Finance and Executive Leadership, you will ensure digital investments solve real business problems, improve the student experience and deliver measurable organisational outcomes.
While this is a senior leadership role, success will require a pragmatic, hands-on approach. You won't inherit a large team—you'll be expected to roll up your sleeves, build capability, influence across the organisation and drive transformation by delivering outcomes, not simply directing them.
Reporting to the Vice President, Student Experience, you will shape the University's digital transformation agenda while driving innovation, productivity and continuous improvement across the student lifecycle.
Flexible and hybrid working arrangements supporting work-life balance
Salary packaging options including novated leasing and superannuation salary sacrifice
Employee Assistance Program (EAP)
Discounted private health insurance and wellbeing initiatives
Employee recognition programs
You'll lead the University's digital student experience strategy, ensuring digital platforms, AI initiatives and transformation programs deliver outstanding experiences and measurable organisational value.
Responsibilities include:
Develop and own the strategic roadmap for the student digital platform
Lead AI-enabled transformation and automation initiatives that improve student services and organisational productivity
Design the E2E student experience then drive the service transformation required to deliver it while embedding a culture of continuous improvement across Student Experience
Partner with IT and Executive Leadership to govern digital investment, prioritisation and delivery
Establish product management practices, governance frameworks and outcome-based performance measures
Build strong executive partnerships across IT, Finance, Academic and Student Experience teams
Champion innovation, AI adoption, digital capability and service design across the organisation
Lead multidisciplinary teams across digital product management, transformation and continuous improvement
Monitor transformation outcomes, benefits realisation and service performance through data and insights
Represent Torrens University Australia across industry forums, strategic partnerships and higher education network.
