We are seeking an experienced and proactive Occupational Health and Safety Adviser to join our growing team in Darling Downs, QLD. This role is responsible for promoting a strong safety culture, ensuring compliance with WHS legislation, and supporting operational teams to maintain safe and healthy workplaces.
The successful candidate will work closely with management and employees to implement safety initiatives, conduct risk assessments, investigate incidents, and drive continuous improvement across all health and safety practices.
This is a full-time position. The salary on offer for this role is $79,499 per annum.
Key Responsibilities

Provide expert WHS advice and support across the business

Conduct workplace inspections, audits, and risk assessments

Lead incident investigations and corrective action processes

Maintain compliance with WHS legislation and company policies

Support employee engagement on site daily

Deliver safety training, toolbox talks, and awareness programs

Assist with development and implementation of safety systems and procedures

Monitor and report on WHS performance metrics

Support employees from diverse cultural and international backgrounds to ensure understanding of workplace safety requirements

Assist with onboarding and communication of WHS procedures for employees where English may be a second language

Promote an inclusive and culturally aware workplace environment that prioritises employee wellbeing and safety for all team members
About You

Previous experience in an Occupational Health & Safety role

Strong understanding of Australian WHS legislation and compliance

Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills

Ability to influence and promote positive safety behaviours

Relevant WHS qualifications

Strong organisational and problem-solving abilities

Minimum one year working experience in an Occupational Health & Safety role
