Role Overview
Lauxes Grates is seeking a commercially focused and experienced full-time Data Analyst to support strategic decision-making across sales, operations, manufacturing, supply chain, marketing, and product development functions based on our decade’s and ongoing operation data collected. Reporting to senior management, the position is responsible for collecting, analysing, interpreting, and presenting business data to identify trends, improve operational efficiency, optimise inventory and distribution performance, and support the company’s continued growth across Australia and New Zealand.
The Data Analyst will work closely with stakeholders across multiple departments to transform complex datasets into actionable insights that enhance business performance, customer engagement, product innovation, and market competitiveness. The role combines technical analytical capabilities with commercial awareness to support evidence-based decision-making throughout the organisation.
Key Responsibilities
- Collect, validate, analyse and interpret data from sales, operational, customer and business systems to identify trends, patterns and performance indicators relevant to business operations.
- Develop and maintain reports, dashboards and data visualisations to support management decision-making, strategic planning and business performance monitoring.
- Analyse business performance, customer behaviour, product demand and operational outcomes, and provide recommendations to improve efficiency, profitability and customer experience.
- Apply statistical techniques and analytical methodologies to evaluate business performance, forecast trends and support evidence-based decision-making.
- Liaise with managers and stakeholders to determine reporting requirements, define key performance metrics and translate business needs into analytical solutions.
- Prepare and present analytical findings, forecasts and business intelligence reports to management, including recommendations for process improvements and business growth opportunities.
- Ensure the accuracy, integrity and quality of data used in reporting and analysis, and contribute to the ongoing improvement of data management and reporting processes.
Key Skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex datasets and communicate findings clearly.
- Experience using data analysis, reporting, and visualisation tools such as Power BI, Tableau, SQL, Excel, or similar platforms. Candidates with experience in a large corporation is preferred.
- Knowledge of statistical analysis, data modelling, forecasting methodologies, and business intelligence practices.
- Ability to present technical findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
- Ability to work collaboratively across sales, operations, supply chain, manufacturing, and management teams.
