About the Role
Working across civil infrastructure and building construction projects, you will play a key role in planning, coordinating and delivering project outcomes safely, efficiently and to a high standard.
Depending on your experience, you will work closely with Project Managers, site teams, subcontractors and commercial functions to support all aspects of project delivery, from planning and procurement through to construction and completion.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare, manage and maintain all project documentation, including RFIs, technical submittals, inspection and test plans, quality records and project reports.
- Support the delivery of building and construction projects within approved budgets through effective cost monitoring and expenditure control.
- Project planning, programming and scheduling to ensure key milestones and completion dates are achieved.
- Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers and site personnel to ensure construction activities are delivered safely and efficiently.
- Monitor project performance, productivity and quality outcomes against project objectives and contractual requirements.
- Identify construction risks, develop mitigation strategies and proactively resolve project issues.
- Support procurement activities including subcontractor engagement, material purchasing and supplier management.
- Coordinate design reviews and manage interfaces between consultants, subcontractors and construction teams.
- Contribute to value engineering initiatives and continuous improvement opportunities throughout project delivery.
- Ensure compliance with project specifications, building codes, Australian Standards and regulatory requirements.
Senior Project Engineers will also provide technical leadership, mentor junior team members and contribute to the successful delivery of larger and more complex projects.
About You
To be successful, you will bring:
- A degree in Engineering or a related discipline, plus minimum 1 year of full-time work experience.
- Experience delivering civil infrastructure and/or building construction projects
- A sound understanding of Australian Standards and WHS requirements
- Strong planning, coordination and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- The ability to work collaboratively within a high-performing project team
Senior Project Engineers will have demonstrated experience delivering larger-scale or technically complex projects and leading engineering teams.
