This unique networked role offers the chance to work across Rockhampton Hospital, Gladstone Hospital and Emerald Hospital, while also supporting rural communities including Woorabinda, Biloela and the Capricorn Coast.
At Gladstone Hospital, you'll be part of a welcoming multidisciplinary maternity team delivering exceptional care to around 600 families each year. With modern birth suites, a dedicated antenatal/postnatal ward and neonatal nursery, it's a place where you can grow your skills, build meaningful relationships and help bring new little locals into the world every day.
About the role:
Deliver high-quality specialist Obstetrics and Gynaecology services across multiple CQ Health facilities, ensuring safe, effective and patient-focused care.
Lead clinical care through ward rounds, outpatient clinics, operating services and participation in the after-hours on-call roster.
Support and mentor junior medical staff, registrars, medical students, midwives, nurses and allied health professionals through education and supervision.
Contribute to patient safety, clinical governance, audits, research, service planning and continuous improvement initiatives.
Provide outreach and telehealth support to rural communities including Biloela, Moura, Theodore, Woorabinda, Baralaba and Capricorn Coast.
Build strong relationships across multidisciplinary teams and community groups while demonstrating leadership, communication and evidence-based practice.
About you:
MBBS or equivalent eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia is mandatory for this role.
Registration or eligibility for registration as a Specialist in Obstetrics and Gynaecology with the Australian Health Practitioner Agency (AHPRA). In general, this will require Fellowship of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (RANZCOG).
Enrolment and maintenance of ongoing CME program of appropriate College is mandatory.
The appointee will be required to undergo a credentialing process and will be granted appropriate scope of clinical practice.
What we offer:
Total remuneration value of up to $557,878 p.a. is comprised of:
A salary rate between $259,072 - $274,678 p.a. (L25 - L27)
A salary rate between $216,643 - $251,642 p.a. (L18 - L24)
