Exciting opportunity for a Foreman with aspirations to become a Site Manager and develop their career within our high-performing team. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting the Project Manager and/or Site Manager in all the phases of the construction of a project from commencement through to completion.

The Role:

Lead and encourage the participation of your team in Pre-start.

Monitor, control, and ensure that all work is in accordance with Belmadar’s Project management Plan to achieve/exceed the outcomes specified within budgets and timeframes.

Plan in a timely manner and communicate works scheduled to the subcontractors and hired labour.

Work with the Site Manager/Project Manager to manage risk and opportunity across the project.

Support cost control by ensuring accurate cost coding and payroll records.

Communicate progress and success to site staff (scheduled site meetings).

Supervise site staff.

WHS and Environmental performance of the project.

Work with the Site Manager/Project Manager to analyse and resolve issues that have the potential to jeopardize project performance.

Maintaining a project schedule.
-
Tracking of program progress.
-
Manage the RFI process.
-
Monitor the issue, response, and compliance with RFI’s.
-
Undertake site meetings (at all levels, scheduled and toolbox).
-
Monitor procurement to ensure contractors and materials are on-site when needed.

Provide technical advice to the site team as required.

Measure and monitor defects.
-
Communicate QA expectations and report sub-contractor poor performance.

Monitor the correct issue of drawings.

Ensure the WHS system has been implemented and is being followed.

Undertake regular (at least weekly) site safety inspections on site.

Ensure corrective action is implemented on all deficiencies identified.

Ensure all SWMS are reviewed and monitored.

Ensure all disputes are quickly resolved or reported to senior management.

Ensure sites are correctly resourced (who, how many and what skills).

Mentor younger, less experienced staff.

Undertake project reviews at project completion.

Maintain the site diary daily.
Skills and Experience Required:

Minimum five (5) years of construction experience

Sound Design coordination skills and ability to be able to effectively communicate Design Issues with Stakeholders

Extensive experience in managing complex projects, ideally within a similar building environment

Proficiency in maintaining key client relationships

Advanced ability to plan, manage and deliver projects

Solid subcontractor management and coordination skills
-
Proven track record in the implementation and monitoring of WHS, Environmental and Quality Assurance requirements

Must possess strong interpersonal and communication skills, demonstrated site management skills, effective negotiation skills and decision-making abilities
-
Must be proficient in PC applications, including Microsoft Word, Excel and Project, as well as e-mail and Internet searches

Ability to formulate a programme and monitor it throughout a project
