About the Role: Z Employment Pty Ltd is hiring a Recruitment Consultant who will be responsible for managing a permanent recruitment desk within the early childhood education and care sector. This is a 360° role: sourcing exceptional talent, building deep client relationships, and navigating the intricacies of the sector with confidence and precision. This is a full-time position (38 hours per week).
What We’re Looking For:
- 2+ years of full‑cycle (360°) recruitment experience, with solid success in permanent placements, ideally in childcare, early learning, education, or healthcare.
- Proven client-engagement skills, with experience growing and managing a large client portfolio.
- Strong expertise in retained search, headhunting, and managing complex stakeholder relationships.
- Data-driven: you understand KPIs and use metrics to shape your recruitment strategy.
- Excellent verbal and written communication, negotiation, and objection‑handling skills.
- Familiarity with modern ATS/CRM tools (Bullhorn, HubSpot), Boolean search, market‑mapping, and competitor analysis.
- Deep understanding of employment agreements, compensation structures, and offer negotiation.
- Experience coordinating onboarding, including induction and integration of new hires.
- Commercial acumen: you know how to manage margins, build sustainable pipelines, and negotiate effectively.
- Degree in Business, HR, or a related field is preferred.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage job vacancy advertising, coordinate interviews, assess applicants, and lead staff hiring.
- Keep and update employee records using our HR information system.
- Run the staff onboarding program, including briefing new hires on service terms, pay, and advancement pathways.
- Gather and organise employment details from hiring managers — job descriptions, wage info, and employment conditions.
- Provide current vacancy updates to both potential applicants and hiring managers.
- Facilitate negotiation of employment agreements and compensation terms with new recruits.
- Support employee engagement by coordinating consultative committees and workplace participation initiatives.
