We are seeking a caring and reliable Female Disability Support Worker to support a female participant residing in Wynn Vale. This casual role offers consistent daily shifts of 8 hours. Support is required for behaviour management, community participation, attending hospital and doctor appointments, and capacity-building activities. The participant have a specific support preferences and Communication need.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement behaviour support strategies
- Support with community access and social participation
- Transport the participant to medical and hospital appointments
- Assist with capacity-building tasks such as routine and skill development
- Encourage independence while ensuring safety and dignity
- Maintain clear and accurate progress notes
Requirements:
- Experience in disability, community, or mental health support (preferred)
- Understanding of behaviour management OR willingness to learn
- Strong communication, Native level English and person-centered support skills
- Full driver’s licence
- Registered, reliable vehicle
- Comprehensive car insurance (required for transporting the participant)
- NDIS Worker Screening Check
- Working With Children Check (if required)
- First Aid & CPR
- Ability to work independently and maintain professional boundaries
Pay: $35.15 – $43.23 per hour
