ositive Purpose Care, based in Halls Creek, is looking for a Disability Support Worker.
ABOUT THE ROLE:
As a Disability Support Worker, you will provide assistance and care to individuals with disabilities to help them live independently and participate in daily life. They offer support in various settings like homes, residential facilities, and community settings.
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assist with personal hygiene, dressing, eating, and mobility.
Using assistive devices and providing physical assistance for movement.
Facilitating social and recreational activities, and accompanying clients to appointments and community events.
Providing companionship, encouragement, and understanding to clients.
Assisting with daily tasks like shopping, meal preparation, and household chores.
Maintaining accurate records of client support, including daily logs and incident reports.
ABOUT YOU:
Experience and knowledge of disability, mental health and/or positive behaviour support.
Experience working in the area of complex behaviour support with people who need a stable and committed team around them.
Committed to following Positive Behaviour Support Plans and able to demonstrate your experience working with behaviours of concern.
Willing to learn new skills and adapt your approach to meet the individual needs of the person you support.
Have a good understanding of person-centred practice.
ABOUT THE OFFER:
Competitive salary based on the SCHADS award. $66,000.00 to $74,000.00 per annum based on experience and qualifications .
Five weeks Annual Leave.
SPECIAL CONDITIONS:
National Police Check required.
Employment-related Screening Check required.
Some out of hours work may be required.
Must hold a current Australian issued driver’s licence (equivalent to minimum class C).
Demonstration to our satisfaction that you are physically capable of carrying out all the duties of the position.
Pay: $66,000.00 – $740,000.00 per year
