Purpose of the Role
BGIS is looking for a warm and engaging Customer Service Officer to provide concierge services across newly refurbished shared amenity floors within a modern government workplace in Melbourne CBD. Reporting to the Management Team, you will work closely with both client and BGIS teams to ensure occupants and their visitors feel welcomed, supported, and enjoy an exceptional customer service experience.
These beautifully designed spaces include meeting rooms, collaboration spaces, training rooms, quiet areas, wellness spaces, and flexible working environments created to support a modern and adaptive way of working.
This is a busy and varied role that would suit someone who enjoys helping people, thrives in a fast-moving environment, and can bring calm, warmth, and consistency during a period of change. The ideal candidate will be friendly, adaptable, and organised, with a genuine passion for delivering wonderful customer experiences.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide a warm and welcoming first point of contact for occupants and visitors across the shared amenity floors.
- Assist with enquiries and provide helpful information and support in person, over the phone, and online.
- Manage meeting room and shared space bookings, including set up and pack down of rooms and spaces.
- Deliver a consistent and caring service experience across all customer touchpoints.
- Provide basic technical support for AV devices in meeting rooms and shared spaces.
- Maintain spaces to a high standard, reporting faults and maintenance requirements through the appropriate systems.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of services, teams, and associated processes.

Education, Experience & Skills
Essential:
- Previous experience in a professional customer service, concierge, reception, hospitality, or front-of-house role.
- Warm and effective communication skills, with the ability to adapt your style to each unique customer.
- Ability to assess customer needs and provide thoughtful advice in line with relevant policies and processes.
- Experience managing competing priorities while achieving positive customer outcomes.
- A flexible, proactive, and team-oriented approach.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and changing environment.
Desirable:
- Experience within facilities management, property, corporate services, or workplace environments.
- Experience providing basic AV or technical support.
- Experience supporting shared workspaces or amenity floors.
- Familiarity with booking systems or customer service platforms.
