About the Role
An exciting opportunity exists for an enthusiastic and customer-focused Specialist Outpatient Clinic Administration Officer to join our Specialist Outpatient Clinics team - Cancer Centre.
Working across multiple campuses and specialty clinics, you will provide high-quality administrative support to multidisciplinary outpatient services. This diverse and rewarding role requires you to work closely with clinicians, specialists, external providers and patients to ensure the smooth and efficient delivery of outpatient services.
Key Responsibilities
Provide administration support across a range of specialist outpatient clinics.
Manage appointment scheduling and patient enquiries via telephone and face-to-face interactions.
Validate referrals and maintain accurate patient records.
Process Medicare claims and support outpatient billing activities.
Collect and receipt patient fees and co-payments, including EFTPOS transactions.
Maintain electronic medical records and clinic databases.
Liaise effectively with medical specialists, clinicians, referring practitioners and external stakeholders.
Support quality improvement initiatives and accreditation requirements.
Contribute to a positive patient experience through excellent customer service.
About You
We are seeking a motivated and organised administration professional who can thrive in a busy healthcare environment.
You will bring:
Demonstrated administration experience, preferably within a health service environment.
Strong computer and data entry skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
A commitment to delivering exceptional customer service.
High attention to detail and accuracy.
The ability to prioritise competing demands and meet deadlines.
The capacity to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
A proactive approach to continuous improvement and adapting to change.
