Key Relationships
The Deputy Head of Preparatory School – Adventurous Learning is
responsible to the Head of Preparatory School and works closely with
the Preparatory School Leadership team, particularly the Deputy
Head of Preparatory School- Teaching & Learning. They will also work
closely with the Director of Teaching, Director of Learning, Head of
Student Experience and Global Understanding and the Preparatory
School Teaching staff.
Position Objective
The Deputy Head of Preparatory School – Adventurous Learning is responsible for coordinating innovative
and adventurous learning opportunities that enhance student engagement, capability development and
real-world learning experiences across the Prep School.
Key Responsibilities of the Head of School Logistics role:
- Coordinate adventurous learning experiences and special programs across the Prep School.
- Build and maintain strategic partnerships with industry, tertiary institutions and relevant external
stakeholders to enhance teaching, learning and student outcomes.
- Lead and support STEM and innovation initiatives and opportunities for students
- Coordinate Prep School participation in co-curricular competitions, challenges and showcase
events
- Develop and oversee the Prep School Signature Experiences Program aligned to the Westminster
Capability Compass in conjunction with Director of Teaching
- Support authentic, hands-on and inquiry-based learning opportunities across year levels.
- Collaborate with staff to embed capability development through adventurous and experiential
learning in conjunction with HOSEGU
- Assist with camps, incursions, excursions and community events.
- Promote student engagement through creative, future-focused and real-world learning
experiences
