About the role
As a Host at 6HEAD, you are the face of the restaurant and the first point of contact for our guests. You will create a warm, polished welcome, manage reservations, and ensure a smooth flow of service throughout the venue. Your ability to stay organised, anticipate guest needs, and maintain composure during busy periods will be key to your success.
What you’ll be doing
- Greeting and welcoming guests with professionalism and warmth
- Managing reservations, waitlists, and guest flow throughout service
- Seating guests while maintaining table rotation and service efficiency
- Handling phone/email enquiries and bookings with confidence
- Engaging with guests to ensure a positive dining experience
- Supporting the wider front-of-house team to deliver seamless service
- Cashiering duties; closing bills and conducting daily cash ups.
What we’re looking for
- Minimum 1 year experience in a guest-facing role within hospitality, hotel or tourism
- Experience in an à la carte or premium dining environment highly regarded
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience with reservation systems (SevenRooms preferred)
- Cash handling experience
- Current RSA certificate
- Impeccable presentation and professionalism
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with strong attention to detail
- Flexible availability across a 7-day rotating roster
