Honeysuckle Garden is seeking a reliable and enthusiastic Apprentice Horticulturist to join our production nursery team in Dural.
This is a full-time, paid two-year apprenticeship combining practical nursery experience with TAFE NSW training. You will work towards dual qualifications in Nursery Operations and Horticulture while learning from an experienced team in a busy, professional nursery environment.
No previous horticultural experience is required. We are looking for someone with a genuine interest in plants, a strong work ethic and a willingness to learn.

About the Role
You will gain practical experience across a broad range of production nursery activities, including:
- Watering, feeding, pruning and maintaining nursery plants
- Potting, spacing and propagating plant stock
- Monitoring plant health and learning to identify pests, diseases and nutrient deficiencies
- Assisting with pest and disease management
- Preparing plants for dispatch to our retail garden centres
- Maintaining clean, safe and organised nursery work areas
- Completing your TAFE training with paid study time
- Participating in occasional training at other Honeysuckle Garden locations
What a Typical Day May Include
You might begin the day by checking plant health and watering requirements before assisting with cleaning, potting, pruning or spacing stock.
Throughout the apprenticeship, you will learn how plants are grown and maintained commercially, how to recognise common plant-health problems and how a production nursery prepares high-quality stock for retail sale.
This is an active, hands-on position involving outdoor work throughout the year.

Honeysuckle Garden is a long-established, family-operated Sydney nursery business with retail garden centres in Mosman and Turramurra.
Honeysuckle Park in Dural is our production nursery, where we grow and prepare quality plants for our garden centres. As an apprentice, you will train in a genuine working nursery and develop practical skills that can support a lasting career in the horticultural industry.
