The Role
An opportunity has become available for a Medical Laboratory Manager (Stem Cell Transplant Program) to join Gold Coast Health (GCH) where the focus of our 14 000-strong team is on providing world-class health care to people living in the Gold Coast, and northern New South Wales region of Australia.
You will
Apply specialist level clinical knowledge and skills to lead the delivery of Stem Cell Transplant laboratory services
Develop, manage and maintain integrated policies and standard operating procedures
Provide strategic advice and professional leadership
Utilise high level knowledge and skills to perform complex laboratory procedures
About you
To be successful in this position you will require:
Tertiary degree in Medical Laboratory Science (or equivalent)
Evidence of vaccination, or be able to be vaccinated against and remain vaccinated against - Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis and Hepatitis B
Tuberculosis screening, to identify if the tuberculosis vaccination may be required
Declaration of serious discipline history must be disclosed
Criminal History Screening will be required for new employees (GCH will cover cost)

Salary
Temporary full-time (up to six months, with the possibility of extension)
Base salary ranging from $5,557.50 - $5,798.90 per fortnight
About Us
The Haemopoietic Stem Cell Program is a collaboration between Cancer and Blood Disorders and Pathology Queensland within Cancer Access and Support Services of the Gold Coast Health Service District. The service is responsible for the collection, processing and administration of cellular therapy products within the Gold Coast University Hospital.
