Production Team Member
We are looking for our next Production Team Member to join our dynamic and fun crew and assist in the production of exciting new, varied and unusual food projects for both the pet and human food sectors.
We produce products for startup brands looking at entering the pet and human health food markets both in Australia and overseas. This means your daily role changes almost every time you come to work!
We also manufacture products that are stocked in Australia's major supermarkets.
Tasks that a Production Team Member could be completing on a day to day basis include:
FOOD PROCESSING
- Weigh out wet/dry ingredients for processing.
- Processing ingredients into finished products through appropriate machinery. (Depositors, mixers, filling machines..)
- Load and unload products into ovens and cooling down racks.
- Blend raw ingredients, powders, nut butters.
- Glazing
- Filling
- Packing
VARIOUS
- Assisting machine operators where necessary.
- Pack finished products into bags/boxes/pouches.
- Date gun and sticker bags/boxes/pouches.
- Pack away stock when it arrives.
- Ensure packing/storage area is clean and tidy at all times.
- Empty bins.
- Wash equipment down.
- Prepare any items required for next day of production.
- Load/Unload stock from transport.
- Load stock onto pallets for shipping (Must be able to lift at least 20kg).
- Mop/clean workstations for next day operations.
- Refill required amenities (paper towel, soap dispensers etc..)
- Clean staff amenities (Kitchen, bathroom etc..) on rotating roster.
- Attend staff meetings as required
- Sing and dance if you want to!

Required skills / experience
- Great attitude towards working in a team environment.
- Open to working on and learning about new and varied projects and tasks.
- Comfortable sharing ideas/solutions to help solve problems as they arise.
- Good sense of problem solving.
- Ability to stand and move around a production space with no restrictions.
- Ability to carry at least 15kg.
- Happy to do what it takes to get the job done!
- Food production experience would be handy however not essential.
- Not allergic to Tree Nuts, Peanuts, Sesame or Egg as we use these on site.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $23.46 – $31.00 per hour
