Position Overview:
As a Customer Engineer, you will interface directly with customers to support the introduction and deployment of our devices and software within their networks. Inseego provides a range of Fixed Wireless, MiFi, and WiFi devices to Network Operators and Enterprises across Oceania, including Australia, New Zealand and Pacific Islands. You will work closely with the Inseego R&D team as required to provide technical support, troubleshoot customer issues, and ensure timely resolution of customer issues.
You will play a pivotal role in ensuring customer satisfaction by supporting the successful introduction and deployment of Inseego hardware and software in the field. As a key representative of Inseego, you will work closely with customers while supporting the Sales and Solutions teams in preparing RFP response and quotations.
You will also be responsible for providing product training and developing support documentation to help customers effectively deploy and use our solutions. These activities may occasionally be delivered remotely; however, on-site support will be required, primarily in Melbourne and at other customer locations across Oceania, as required by the business.
Customer Engineering requires a strong technical background in Fixed Wireless Access, mobile devices, and related technologies, combined with excellent communication, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities:

Develop comprehensive Fixed Wireless Access and device test plans.

Conduct mobile device/network performance and interoperability testing.
-
Develop and maintain automated test scripts.
-
Identify, troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software issues.
-
Conduct regression testing and maintain test beds.
-
Create clear test documentation and reports.
-
Collaborate closely with development, engineering and network teams.

Stay informed with FWA, WiFi standards and technologies.

Deliver product and technical training courses.

Work closely with all stakeholders to manage the overall technical relationship with customers and internal teams.
Required Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, with 8+ years of relevant professional experience.

Hands-on experience with RF and radio communications technologies, particularly as applied to 4G and 5G cellular networks.

Strong knowledge of 5G Standalone (SA) and Non-Standalone (NSA) architectures, including end-to-end network architecture.

Thorough understanding of 3GPP radio standards and specifications.

Proven experience troubleshooting RF network issues encountered by cellular service providers across 4G/5G RAN, with a strong understanding of key RF parameters.

Hands-on experience using QXDM for log analysis, as well as proficiency with Wi-Fi testing tools and equipment.

Familiarity with Wi-Fi standards and protocols, including IEEE 802.11.

Strong understanding of networking concepts, protocols, and architectures.

Hands-on experience testing mobility devices, including 5G FWA devices, MiFi devices, and handsets.

Proven knowledge of FWA, Wi-Fi 6/7 gateways, CPE, and routing gateway functionalities.
