Position: Centre Manager
Location: Meadowbank, Sydney, NSW
Employment Type: Full-time
Salary: From $80,000 per annum plus superannuation, negotiable based on experience and qualifications.
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Centre Manager to lead the daily operations of our service and support our team in delivering high-quality education and care.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the day-to-day operations and overall management of the service
- Act as the Nominated Supervisor and Responsible Person, where required
- Ensure compliance with the National Quality Framework, National Law and Regulations, ACECQA requirements and Child Care Subsidy obligations
- Maintain accurate records, policies, procedures and compliance documentation
- Lead the service’s Quality Improvement Plan and support Assessment and Rating preparation
- Lead, mentor and support educators through regular feedback, professional development and performance management
- Manage staffing arrangements, rosters, educator-to-child ratios and qualification requirements
- Promote a positive, professional and collaborative workplace culture
- Maintain high-quality educational programs aligned with the Early Years Learning Framework
- Build and maintain positive relationships with children, families, staff, regulatory authorities and the local community
- Manage enrolments, occupancy, family enquiries and service tours
- Monitor budgets, operational expenses and other financial processes
- Ensure the health, safety, wellbeing and protection of all children attending the service
- Manage incidents, complaints and regulatory notifications appropriately and within required timeframes
- Support continuous improvement across all areas of the service
Essential Requirements
- Previous experience working as a Centre Manager, Centre Director or in a comparable early childhood leadership role is mandatory
- Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care or an approved higher qualification, such as a Bachelor of Early Childhood Education
- Strong working knowledge of the National Quality Framework, National Regulations, EYLF, ACECQA requirements and Child Care Subsidy obligations
- Demonstrated experience leading, mentoring and managing a team of educators
- Strong understanding of staffing ratios, qualification requirements, compliance and service operations
- Excellent organisational, leadership and problem-solving skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to communicate professionally with families, staff, regulatory authorities and external stakeholders
- Current NSW Working with Children Check
- Current approved First Aid, CPR, Anaphylaxis and Asthma Management certifications
- Current Child Protection training
