We are looking for a warm, organised, and reliable Casual Medical Receptionist to become part of our supportive team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys working with people and thrives in a busy healthcare environment.
While medical reception experience is preferred, we strongly encourage applicants with solid administrative experience and a willingness to learn to apply.
About the Role
As the first point of contact for our clinic, you will play a vital role in creating a welcoming and professional experience for our patients. No two days are the same—you’ll be part of a fast-moving environment where teamwork and positivity are key.
Key Responsibilities
Opening and closing the clinic
Greeting patients with a friendly and professional manner
Managing high-volume phone lines and booking appointments
Processing Medicare billing and patient payments
Scanning, filing, and general administrative duties
Supporting doctors, nursing staff, and the practice manager
Assisting with the smooth day-to-day running of the clinic
What We’re Looking For
Flexible, punctual, and reliable
Confident working in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities
Friendly, approachable, and professional at all times
A strong communicator with excellent organisational skills
Comfortable working independently as well as part of a team
Confident using computers, with very good knowledge of Microsoft Office (essential)
Commitment to confidentiality and patient privacy.
Hold (or be willing to obtain) a current CPR certificate and Police Check
