About the Role
As
Manufacturing Manager, you will lead our workshop operations, ensuring safe, efficient and high-quality production across all builds. You’ll manage day-to-day manufacturing while also improving processes, supporting your leaders and keeping projects on track.
You’ll oversee Workshop Supervisors, Leading Hands, trades, QC and Stores, making sure the team is aligned, supported and delivering to plan.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and maintain a strong safety culture
- Oversee workshop planning, scheduling and delivery
- Manage supervisors and trades to meet production targets
- Allocate resources and manage build timelines
- Monitor quality standards and continuous improvement
- Work with engineering, supply chain and clients to support delivery
- Drive practical LEAN and efficiency improvements
- Support quoting, scoping and project planning
- Develop team capability with support from People & Culture
About You
You’re an experienced manufacturing leader who understands fabrication environments and knows how to get the best out of teams while keeping operations running smoothly.
You will have:
- 5–10 years’ experience in manufacturing or workshop leadership
- Background in fabrication, engineering or mining services
- Boilermaker / Welding Trade Certificate (essential)
- Strong people leadership and problem-solving skills
- Experience improving processes and driving efficiency
- Solid planning and communication skills
Desirable:
- Leadership or management training
- Experience with LEAN or similar methods
- QA/QC or inspection experience
