Achieve Something Great
As a Casual After-Hours Counsellor with the Sexual Assault Service, you will play a vital role in providing compassionate, trauma-informed support to people affected by sexual assault. Working as part of a multidisciplinary team, you will contribute to the delivery of timely crisis intervention, psychosocial support, advocacy and care coordination, helping to ensure clients receive safe, responsive and person-centred care. This role is critical to maintaining the service's 24/7 response capability, supporting improved client outcomes and ensuring access to specialized care across the district.
Are You the Right Fit?
We are seeking experienced and compassionate clinicians with strong assessment, crisis intervention and counselling skills, and a commitment to delivering trauma-informed, person-centred care. The successful candidates will demonstrate the ability to work independently in a responsive after-hours environment, communicate effectively within a multidisciplinary team, and manage competing clinical priorities. Flexibility and reliability are essential, as casual staff are required to be available to cover shifts across a 24/7 roster from Monday to Sunday. Candidates should be committed to supporting positive outcomes for people affected by sexual assault and contributing to a high-quality specialist service.
