We are a female-led garden and home maintenance business seeking a reliable on-call gardener to cover staff leave, sickness, and overflow work.
This role is ideal for someone looking for flexible, casual work, with the potential to move into regular ongoing hours as the business grows.
Role Overview
- General garden maintenance (mowing, edging, weeding, pruning)
- Working in a team of two on most jobs
- Occasional solo work depending on experience
- Following clear job scopes and time-based work
- Travelling between jobs across Melbourne’s west and north-west
What We’re Looking For
- Reliable and available on short notice
- Able to work in a team and adapt to different crews
- Comfortable with physical outdoor work
- Basic gardening experience preferred but not essential
- Takes pride in completing work to a consistent standard
- Driver’s licence preferred
Requirements
- Current police check (or willing to obtain)
- COVID-19 immunisation record (required for client-facing work)
Pay & Setup
- $30–$36 per hour + allowances (depending on experience)
- Paid in line with the Gardening and Landscaping Award
- Additional allowances for use of own vehicle or equipment where applicable
