The 10 Greek Plates is a vibrant and welcoming dining destination, open 7 days a week for dinner and one day for lunch. We pride ourselves on using fresh, high-quality ingredients to create a menu that seamlessly blends authentic Greek food.
We are on the lookout for a qualified and experienced Chef to join our kitchen team. If you have a passion for food, thrive in a fast-paced kitchen, and enjoy bringing creativity to your dishes, we’d love to hear from you!
What We’re Looking For:
- Minimum 1 year of relevant experience
- Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery or Kitchen Management
- Knowledge of Food Hygiene & OH&S Standards
- Strong teamwork skills and ability to perform under pressure
- Professional, organised, and innovative approach to cooking
- Knowledge of dietary requirements (vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, halal, allergies)
- Flexibility to work weekends and peak service hours
Your Responsibilities:
- Planning menus, estimating food and labour costs, and ordering food supplies.
- Be responsible for quality control and tasting the dishes; making sure they are at the right standard and are presented correctly before they go out to the customer.

- Discussing food preparation issues with managers, dietitians and kitchen and waiting staff.
- Demonstrating techniques and advising on cooking procedures.
- Explaining and enforcing hygiene regulations.
- Selecting and training staff in the kitchen including cook.
- Managing freezing and preservation of food.
- Creating a vision for the cuisine, inspiring your team and delegating tasks effectively.
- Recruiting, motivating and managing staff.
- Overseeing the day-to-day running of the kitchen, ordering supply and undertaking the kitchen inventory (including budgeting).
- Overseeing hygiene and cleanliness in the kitchen.
What We Offer:
Salary: $79,800 + superannuation
