G.J. Gardner Homes Gold Coast South, based in Burleigh, is seeking an organised and proactive Residential Construction Administrator to join our small, supportive office.
This is a temporary maternity leave cover role taking ownership of the entire pre-construction journey from deposit through to site start, with the potential to move to a permanent position depending on future staffing needs. We offer flexible working arrangements and are open to full-time, part-time, or school-hours schedules.

Contract Drafting: Accurately prepare and complete HIA/MBA contracts, job specifications, and plan sets in collaboration with the Sales team.
Pre-Construction: Drive building projects seamlessly from initial customer deposit through to on-site construction start.
Document & Approval Coordination: Liaise with draftspeople, engineers, and certifiers to assemble documentation and proactively follow up on Council/Certifier approvals.
Customer Communication: Deliver exceptional service, keeping clients informed and reassured throughout the pre-building phase.
Selections & Variations: Accurately process and integrate colour selections and variation documents from the Colour Consultant.
Trade Pack Finalisation: Issue complete, finalised plan and specification packs to key trade partners, including cabinetry suppliers.
Systems & Data Management: Maintain accurate data entry in G.J. software, update internal Job Progress Sheets, and code invoices/payments.
Reporting & Office Support: Generate monthly progress reports for the Franchise Owner and provide general administration and reception backup as required.
Proven Industry Experience: Minimum of 3 years’ experience in contract administration or pre-construction within the new residential homes industry.
Collaborative Team Player: Positive, approachable attitude with a good sense of humour and a strong desire to support colleagues in a close-knit office setting.
Precision & Detail: Meticulous approach to work, minimising errors and rework in contracts and documentation.
Proactive Communication: Clear interpersonal skills to manage client expectations and build strong stakeholder relationships.
Process Discipline: Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple jobs, track deadlines, and follow established workflows.
