We are a boutique Cafe Shop in Indooroopilly Shopping Center in Indooroopilly looking for an experienced and enthusiastic candidate to join our friendly team. This position is responsible for the seamless running the kitchen of the Cafe in the most efficient and effective manner, delivering the high standards of products, whilst being proactive in maintaining and improving excellent customer service and staff efficiency.
You will share a passion for great service of a boutique coffee brand, pride yourself on presentation & consistency to deliver the best customer experience and satisfaction.
The main duties will include but are not limited to:
- Having Certificate III in Commercial Cookery and Food Handling Certificate is preferable
- Previous experience working in a Commercial Kitchen as a qualified chef
- The ability to work in a fast paced and hands on environment.
- Experience in Breakfast and Modern Australian cuisine
- Knowledge of food safety practices, HACCP and OHS
- The ability to adhere to policies and procedures
- Be able to demonstrate competency within your role including menu planning, Food storage, ordering of food products and supplies, food delivery and waste disposal.
- Assisting with food preparation and following standard recipes and correct techniques.
- Maintaining cleanliness standards of the kitchen.
- Meeting all HACCP standards including completing required administrative tasks.
- Working at times with specialised equipment.
