We are seeking a reliable and proactive Building Services Technician to join our team. This role is ideal for someone with experience in building maintenance who takes pride in delivering high-quality service and ensuring facilities are safe, compliant, and well maintained.

You are a motivated and hands-on Building Services Technician with a strong commitment to maintaining safe, compliant, and well-presented facilities. You take pride in delivering high-quality maintenance services, work well both independently and as part of a team, and have excellent problem-solving skills. With a proactive approach and strong attention to detail, you are committed to providing a safe environment for patients, staff, and visitors while supporting the smooth operation of the hospital.
You will also bring:

Demonstrated experience in building maintenance, facilities management, or a similar trade-based role.

Sound knowledge of building services, including mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and general maintenance systems.

An understanding of relevant Australian Standards, legislative requirements, and compliance obligations relating to healthcare or commercial facilities.

The ability to coordinate and oversee contractors, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and to the required standard.

Strong organisational skills with the ability to maintain accurate maintenance records and manage competing priorities.

A proactive approach to preventative maintenance and continuous improvement.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive working relationships across all levels of the organisation.

The ability to participate in an after-hours on-call roster and respond effectively to maintenance issues when required.

A commitment to workplace health and safety and delivering excellent customer service.
Remuneration:
$33.19 + superannuation based on experience level and qualifications, exclusive of penalties or allowances. (Level 3.1 RHC QLD support services EA)
