About the role – Casual Opportunity (15–22 hours per week)
The Grounds and Maintenance Officer plays an important role in keeping BaptistCare’s Adventure Campsites safe, welcoming, and well-maintained. This hands-on role involves caring for grounds, buildings, vehicles, and equipment through scheduled maintenance, repairs, and general upkeep. Your work will help create positive outdoor experiences where people can connect with themselves, others, God, and the natural world.
About you:
You’re a practical, reliable, and proactive person who takes pride in maintaining safe, welcoming, and well-presented environments. You enjoy working hands-on, solving problems, and managing tasks independently while also contributing positively as part of a team. With strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality, you bring a safety-focused approach and a genuine desire to support positive experiences for everyone who visits our campsites.
You will also have the following skills and experience:
- Year 12 Certificate or equivalent.

Experience in grounds maintenance, facilities maintenance, or a similar hands-on role

Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to complete repairs and maintenance tasksAbility to work independently, plan tasks, and manage priorities effectively

Knowledge of safe work practices and workplace health and safety requirements

Good communication skills and the ability to work with staff, contractors, and visitors

Experience using maintenance equipment, vehicles, trailers, or small machinery is desirable
